Problem
Kina Chocolates operates under complex business rules (number of participants, schedule overlaps, languages, recurring dates, etc.) to manage the workshops held in the venue, resulting in errors and especially overwhelming administrative burdens. Additionally, the eCommerce had a conversion rate below the industry average and a high cart abandonment rate. Original platform Shopify.
Strategy
A custom reservation system was built following the business and operational rules. A user-friendly administrative panel was created to update, create, or delete both products and workshops in real time. Management dashboards were also developed within the panel to ensure full operational visibility (total sales, reservations, etc.). On the eCommerce side, the product detail design and checkout process were optimized, integrating a tailored local payment gateway. Email automations were implemented for purchase/reservation confirmations, reminders, personalized certificates, and gift cards. Product recommendations and custom attributes were added for each item, as well as product variants. All this was enriched with on-page SEO in key sections to improve organic traffic.
Results
The improvements implemented had a direct impact on sales, increasing conversion rates and average order value, especially boosting the number of weekly reservations, thereby enhancing the profitability of the online channel.
